IMMUGIN^®

Natural immune enhancer

Composition:

Each capsule contains Panax ginseng BHP ............... 250 mg.

Phytochemical constituents:

Ginseng contains a variety of triterpene saponins known as ginsenosides, which constitute 0.7 to 3% of total dried root of 6 years old plant.

Pharmacological actions:

• Restores and strengthens the body’s immune response as immunomodulator.
• Increases vitality and ability to withstand stress by acting on the hypothalamus- pituitory - adrenal axis as adaptogenic and tonic action. Ginsenoside can stimulate hypothalamus to release corticotrophin, which in turn acts on the pituitary gland to release ACTH, which act on adrenal cortex to release indogenous cortisols.
• Promotes longevity, metabolism and growth of normal cells as cancer preventive effect.
  

Indications:

• Immuno-enhancement by increasing natural killer cell function and antibody ependent
  cellular toxicity therefore useful supplement to HIV infection.
• Patient with decreased physical and mental capacities such as weakness, exhaustion,
  tiredness, loss of concentration, decreased memory and chronic fatigue syndrome.
• Patient with convalescent stage after infection, injury or surgery. IMMUGIN^® can boost energy level and neurotransmitter in the brain, increased protein synthesis and increased muscle activity.
• To normalize the physiologic function in patient with hypotension, hypercholestro-
  laemia, diabetes mellitus.
• Use as antioxidant to resist environmental toxin, anti-stress, anti-aging and longevity.
• Supplement to cancer patients to lower the side effect of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and less risk of bone marrow depression.

Cautions:

IMMUGIN^® should be taken after meal. It should not be used during pregnancy and lactation without medical supervision. It should be used with caution in patient with hypertension, bronchial asthma, heart failure, under steroid therapy, anticoagulant therapy and antipsychotic drug therapy.

Dosage:

One to two capsules two times a day after meal. The daily supplement should be taken not more than three months. After three months, it is recommended to be taken with the cycle (15 days on and 15 days off in a month) for long term use.

Drug interaction:

• Antidiabetic drugs; IMMUGIN^® may reduce the blood glucose and potentiate the action of antidiabetic drugs.
• Anticoagulant therapy: there is possible interaction of ginseng with warfarin and IMMUGIN^® should be omitted in case of anticoagulant therapy.
• Monoamine-oxidase inhibitor; IMMUGIN^® may potentiate the action of MAOI by inhibiting various neurotransmitters.
