perforatum (St. John's Wort) flower and leaf standard extract ..... 250 mg.

Pharmacological actions:
St. John's wort has Selective Serotonin Reuptake
Inhibitory (SSRI) action and inhibits the activity of the enzyme,
monoamine oxidase (MAO), enabling the increased level of various
nerve-impulse transmitter critical to mood and emotional stabality in
the brain.
Indications:
- Mental refreshment
- Mild to moderate depression and its secondary symptoms like headache, sweating, palpitation, anxiety and insomia.
Side effects:
None or very mild at the recommended dosage.
In large doses (ie. 35 times greater than the recommended dose for depression), there is a potential of phototoxicity.
Advantages:
- No side effect on sexual function.
- Can take long-term use.
- More effective.
Caution:

Dosage:
One capsule three times daily for six weeks
minimal. (Only for patient over 18 years of age)
